Mastectomy and hospital stays

I’m trying to gather some data. Please respond if you have had a single or double mastectomy and how many nights you spent in the hospital.

    Heya. Single mastectomy, overnight stay. Got the pleasure of emptying my own drains for 3+ weeks. Yuck. OK. Complaining done. :)

    Single mastectomy in Dec 07 - done late in the day followed by beginning reconstruction - and gaspingly released the next AM - not even 24 hours.

    Wow, you guys, I thought mine was not so different. Late in the day surgery, ovaries too, they tried to discharge me the next day. I was still on morphine. They let me stay for another night and then I got to play in drain land too…..ewwww
