Okay, I don’t know how my readers feel about gay marriage and the need to protect heterosexual marriage and frankly that’s not what this is about. This is about one of the most public cases of hypocrisy in a while.
There is a new version of the “Marriage Protection Amendment” which wants to change the constitution of the United States to define marriage as being between one man and one woman. Two of its first sponsors? Senator Larry (I like to pick up men in airport bathrooms) Craig R- Idaho
And colleague David (I like to let the D.C. Madam pick out my dates) Vitter, R-La. Craig has been married since 1983 and I’ve been unable to find how long Vitter has been married but he is frequently pictured with his wife and three children.
And gays are the threat to marriage? Really!?!? What a joke!

ok… i think it is HYSTERICAL that these 2 in particular are the proponents of this (ridiculous and utterly unreasonable) proposal. so typical of those who want to control everyone else, but god forbid anyone look at their behavior! (well, b/c of course they are exempted from inspection!)
anyway… living in sf — one of the epicenters for gay marriage — is fantastic! the first state-recognized couple to get married in sf have been together for some 55years. (and if they don’t deserve to be married, then who the hell does?!?) they were married in a private ceremony in mayor gavin newsom’s office, with about 60 guests (and press). they did come out and have a cake-cutting ceremony in a public area in city hall… AND I WAS THERE! it was amazing to see these 2 women who have withstood so much and been real proponents of GLBT rights be the first couple to be legally married. (it was actually a little heartbreaking — really a beautiful event with so many supporters.)
and the times, they are a’changing….
