With all that we’ve heard about global food supply problems recently I am saddened to report that the Full Belly Project is having some financial woes. This group works on an incredibly small budget and makes simple, non patented agricultural devices used in the developing world. Jock Brandis is their research and development leader and came up with the design for the universal nut sheller which is now being used both for shelling nuts for food but also for biodiesel.
Please take a look at their website and if you’ve got an extra $10, then please consider sending it. Of course, if you’ve got a spare economic stimulus check hanging around I’m sure they’d be happy to use that as well.
