My tinfoil hat

Sales of cancer drugs will grow at nearly double the rate of the global pharmaceutical market and could reach $80 billion by 2012, according to IMS Health, which tracks prescription drug sales.

I really don’t want to put on my tinfoil hat but this kind of news makes me reach for it.  What is the monetary incentive in finding a cure?  Don’t get me wrong, I am incredibly grateful for the treatment that exists and will continue to be developed. If it weren’t for it I couldn’t sit here and bitch.  But honestly, how hard is a company going to search for a cure if the treatments are so financially rewarding. The rest of the article is below.
