I’m tired

There is not a woman I know who isn’t tired.  The standard office conversation goes like this;  “How are you?”     “Good, tired but good” or some similar version.  I’ve decided that personally I will blame Thomas Alva Edison, inventor of the light bulb even though I should blame whoever invented blogging.   We don’t sleep when we’re tired anymore, we sleep “when the show is over” or “when I finish this chapter”.

Unfortunately there are some significant consequences of sleep deprivation.  The most recent research I’ve read shows intermittent lapses.  The brain is able to process simple visuals but if it gets more complex the brain is not able to make sense of what it is seeing.   What does this mean?  It means that you’re probably not crazy if you’re not sleeping.  New Moms have a biological excuse for putting the bottle in the bath tub and the rubber duckie in the refrigerator.   There’s a link to the article below but you should probably just go to sleep!
